Last week was a bad week for deaths: Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and Billy Mays. Jeez who's next!? I've also started seriously looking for a church and visited Southwood this past Sunday. I really enjoyed the service and everyone was really nice. So we'll see it will be a lengthy process but I'm looking forward to new people and a new church family.
So I get a message from my dear friend Jenna asking if I know how to swim. I tell her yes and that once upon a time many years ago I swam competitively. Then she drops the bomb... She asks if I will do the swim portion (400 meters) for the Sprint Triathalon in August. After some discussion, I found myself saying "Yes".
Now of course I think yes it will be cool but it's going to be oh so painful! Today, I went to the Wellness Center and membered up and paid for 3 months of pool and aerobics use. Yea you know me, I don't really care about those fancy machines that inflict pain.
Anyways, that's my big news. I still think our team names should be The Jackos in honor of the late great MJ. I gotta talk the other two into it though. Hmmmm....
