Tomorrow is Another Day

Alot of people don't realize how much stress comes along with my job. I work for a company with very little resources. Of those resources I have to fight long drawn out battles just to use them. And then there's the general indecisiveness that is like ivy growing in your yard. It's everywhere and only getting worse! With that said, I learned to cope relatively well and continue to work hard and do what I can while other projects are at a standstill. And then there comes a day when I'm ready to toss in the towel and just give it up with frustration. Needless to say today was one of those days.

Luckily, I had plans to meet some fantastic people for Thai food (My Fav!). This greatly improved my mood :) So tomorrow I go in with a positive attitude and hope for the best. I'm happy that a Parent Workshop is coming around because once again I'll see the reward of helping these kids find their way. I can only hope to set a good example for them in my day-to-day activities. While I'm far from perfect they (and my friends) inspire me to want to work harder to become a better friend, daughter, mentor and sister. Without good examples most will lose all of the ground they have gained and I personally don't want to fail them.

Just keep swimming...

So I've been back in Huntsville for about 9 months. I'd like to say the move back was easy and swell and all that but there's been a few bumps in the road. Luckily, I have been blessed enough to meet some really fantastic friends. These friends, whether they know it or not, have helped me learn things about myself and more importantly showed me it's all going to be ok.

Whether it's bowling, lake days, concerts in the park or an impromptu movie night I know that my social calendar would be wide open if I hadn't met them. I've also had the opportunity to reconnect with some old friends. Some of these reunions have been more welcome than others but eh what are you gonna do right?

While this blog is short I just wanted to say that I am very blessed. I have wonderful friends both old and new, a great family and a bright and adventurous future. I've learned that you just gotta keep going or in the words of Dore the fish "Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming...."
